2 Project’s Objectives Learn the operation of the weather station (WXT510) and data logger. To mount the weather station in a tripod and compare its data with other weather stations installed by Agricultural Engineering Department at UPRM. Note: The WXT510 will be used to validate data of the radar at top of Stefani building.

4 Currently: Understanding the operation of the WXT510 and CR200 Weather Station’s Program Data Logger’s Program This programs configure the devices.

5 Understanding the operation of the WXT510 and CR200… To establish connection between CR200 and WXT510 must use: program (CR Basic- Native Language) install it in the data logger SDI-12 Color wireSDI-12 BlueData in/out Gray- WhiteData in/out GreenGnd for data PinkGnd for Vh+ YellowVh+ heating ClearGnd for Vin+ BrownVin+

6 Understanding the operation of the WXT510 and CR200… Tasks: Search the solution to a problem. The data logger isn’t compiling data of the WXT510. Maybe problems with a program or connection. I will do test measurements before of the installation in the laboratory.

7 In next few days The WXT510 will be mounted in an appropriate site (place according to specifications is critical in order to obtain accurate meteorological data). In general the site should be representative of the general area of interest and away from the influence of obstruction such as buildings and trees.

8 The WXT510 will be aligned with respect to the wind sensor. To help the alignment, there is an arrow and text “North” on the bottom of WXT510. It should be aligned in such a way that this arrow points to the north. 9 The WXT510’s data compiled by the CR200 will be compared with other weather station data. It is established in the same place. I will use a program code to compare and validate the WXT510. Note: In the future this weather station will be moved to other site for validation of the radar data at the top of Stefani building.
