3 Terrific To-do list for Triumph I. In the Church Body A. Elders: Shepherd God’s flock rightly (5:1-4) B. Younger people: Be subject to the elders (5:5a) C. All: be humble toward each other (5:5-6)

4 Terrific To-do list for Triumph II. In each member personally A. Cast all anxieties on Him (5:7) B. Be alert and resist the enemy (5:8-9) C. Count on a rock-solid promise (5:10)

We live by God’s Word (Matthew 4:1-4) B. In spite of temptation to test God, Jesus did not wrongly apply biblical promise (Matthew 4:5-8) C. In spite of His longing, Jesus did not trade eternal glory for a cheap imitation of “glory”

12 In Public A. A reminder of Peter’s motives 1. Peter writes to encourage the believers 2. Testify that this (message) is the true grace of God.

13 In Public B. Reaction of Believers 1. Send greetings cross culturally, geographically 2. Show pure affection for one another
