1 Bluetooth Tracking System

2 How to get position of a object
Use GPS as an example. The positions of satellites are predictable. Also the distances between receiver and satellites are measurable. Thus the location of receiver can be calculated.

3 How a bluetooth system work
Bluetooth tracking system works in similar way. The positions of sensors are known and the distance can be measured. So the location of device can be calculated.

4 Bluetooth Positioning System
Since it was a design class assignment. It was a concept rather than practical system. The blind user worn a bluetooth headphone. When he moved from one place to another, he could be discovered by different transceivers. So he could get different instructions. This is a bluetooth positioning system designed by HK students.

5 Bluetooth Surveillance
A shopping mall, for example, could install a Bluetooth surveillance system throughout its entire area to monitor the movements of Bluetooth owners. Although it wouldn't present a perfectly accurate description of a person's movement, the system could create a general map of his path and even compare how long someone stays in a certain area. With this knowledge, store owners could analyze shopper's behavior and change advertisement positions accordingly without anyone ever knowing. A shopping mall, for example, could install a Bluetooth surveillance system throughout its entire area to monitor the movements of Bluetooth owners.

6 Bluetooth Tracking One of the earliest uses of Bluetooth positioning and tracking technology is the Aalborg Zoo, the largest zoological garden in Denmark. The point of installing the system was not to put the zoo's patrons under surveillance or to see which exhibitions people went to more often. Instead, special "Bluetags" were made available to prevent parents from losing valuable belongings that tend to wander off -- their children. A parent could attach a "Bluetag" onto a child, and Bluetooth receivers around the zoo would track the child's movement. A parent could attach a "Bluetag" onto a child, and Bluetooth receivers around the zoo would track the child's movement.

7 ZONITH Indoor Positioning Module
This commercial system can use any bluetooth device as an trackable ID to show user’s location. People are detected by the ZONITH Bluetooth Positioning Beacons by wearing any kind of Bluetooth unit (including radios, mobile phones, head sets and tags). Every Bluetooth unit has its own unique identity, and it is easy to register it in the system.
