4 Fiscal year 2016 started July 1 - ADF&G took a cut of 18% CFD budget reduction was 12% New approach to divisional cuts across the state. No longer evenly spread across all regions Divisional leadership team prioritizes statewide funding cuts by divisional importance. In FY16, SE Region took a cut of 10%. Cuts to Southcentral and AYK regions were higher. FY16 Budget Cuts

5 FY16 GF cuts impacted our ability to manage commercial fisheries. Biggest cuts came to our salmon program, followed by large cuts to groundfish and herring. Primary salmon related cuts: Elimination of the video component of McDonald Lake sockeye assessment (maintained foot surveys) Elimination of sockeye genetics stock identification in Chatham and Icy Straits.
