5. FY16 GF cuts impacted our ability to manage commercial fisheries. Biggest cuts came to our salmon program, followed by large cuts to groundfish and herring. Primary salmon related cuts: Elimination of the video component of McDonald Lake sockeye assessment (maintained foot surveys) Elimination of sockeye genetics stock identification in Chatham and Icy Straits.
