4 Temperature A measure of how hot or cold something is.

5 Rain gauge An instrument that measures how much rain has fallen.

6 barometer An instrument used to measure air pressure.

7 Anemometer An instrument used to measure wind speed.

8 Wind vane An instrument that moves to show which way the wind is blowing from.

9 Air pressure The force of air pushing down on an area.

10 humidity A measure of how much water vapor is in the air.

11 Atmosphere The blanket of air, or gases, surrounding Earth.

13 Air mass A large area of the atmosphere where the air has similar properties throughout.

14 front A boundary between two air masses that have different temperatures.

15 Warm front A boundary between air masses where a warm air mass slides up and over a cold air mass.

16 Cold front A boundary between air masses where a cold air mass pushes under a warm air mass.

17 Stationary front A boundary between air masses that are not moving.

18 forecast A prediction or the act of making a prediction, often having to do with weather.

19 Climate

20 climate The pattern of seasonal weather in a region that repeats year after year.

21 current A directed flow of a gas or liquid.
