A user of the De Montfort University IT system will go through an authentication check to access services via an electronic connection. They will work on a system which is easy to navigate, simple to access, provides them with the resources they are permitted to use at an economic and accountable cost, at the times when they want it and at the speed and in locations that are convenient. They will gain benefit from the system regardless of age, mode and place of study and of disabilities. The system will deliver a full range of scholarly, study, administrative and backup services required and enable them to interact with others. The systems will also act as powerful marketing tools enabling the University to provide services and to extend its influence through the quality of its electronic persona.
