 Annotated Bibliography  You Need 5 Sources… 2 of which have to be books. E-Books count. Check Gale Virtual Reference on the Groves Media Center page.  Cite your source  Give a 1 paragraph explanation of the main message, idea of how your source will help you complete your research.

 Personal Background  1 page summary of your character  Where, Who, When, What…

 Historical Setting  Add your character to the class timeline.  1 Page description of the world (setting in which your character lived.) Think BIG PICTURE. What major events are happening in the world. Important people, major social changes, world changing inventions, diseases, conflicts.

 Accomplishments.  By now you should know why your character is included in M.o.M.  Explain their biggest contributions and the impact this had on the Renaissance world and possibly the modern world.  If possible connect yourself to the other characters. (not everyone of course)

 I Am Poem- Short poem that uses first person to put your character into perspective.  This part is a bit more abstract than the others. You must included things like “I wonder” “I feel” “I dream”.  Try this example out: http://score.rims.k12.ca.us/score_lessons/sy mbols_freedom/pages/i_am_poem.html

 Presentation  On this day you will come to class not as a student reciting a biography but as the historical character you have gotten to know over the past few weeks.  You will be speaking as a panel of 5-7 characters and to successfully complete this project must answer questions as your character would in real life.  Costumes are optional but I will give bonus points for accuracy and originality.

 How do you feel about Luther’s Protestant Reformation?  What are your thoughts on European exploration?  How do you feel about the issue of selling indulgences  Is Gutenberg’s Printing Press progress or dangerous?  What is your stance on enslaving the Native Americans?  Is Galileo and Copernicus guilty of heresy against the Church?  Should the Spanish be punished for conquering the Aztecs and Incan Empires?  Is it the duty of Europeans bring the Africans and Native Americans to Christ?  How should the New World be Divided up?  Is Columbus guilty of murder?  What is your opinion of the heliocentric model?  Should the slave trade be outlawed?
