2 Highlights…. For a promotion to take place, there must be a business justification for the proposed position / grade to exist in the organization at that level Promotion to kick start with a job description for new role, assessment of candidate’s performance, competencies (using JRAT) and living the AP values All positions up to job level of M5 must be posted to provide equal opportunities for all employees Employee applying for role that is higher than current job must be assessed by hiring manager using the JRAT

3 Highlights…. All promotions from IC3/M2 to IC5/M5 are to be validated by local HR in consultation with the local MD Disagreements are to be escalated to APAC LOB Head for decision Validation from MD will not be required for promotion in Divisional / Regional / Development organization For L&C, promotion initiated by the SVP are to be supported by the EVP Promotion to M6 and above are to be reviewed by the AP Promotion Review Board (comprise of Snr Management members from multiple BUs) For Juergen Rottler’s Organization, promotions to M5 & M6 positions are to be submitted to the World Wide Review Board for approval upon getting regional / local endorsement Process will cover all LOBs with the exception of GIT & Legal

Promotion Process Tasks Steps to Complete Tasks Owner Resources Determine business need for new role For a promotion to take place, there must be a business justification for the proposed position / grade to exist in the organization at that level Manager Identify job requirements / competencies Determine job scope using the Global Job Descriptions Determine the competency profile of role using Job-Competency Profile Tool Global Job Description OTD - Job-Competency Profile Tool Assess Values / Performance Assess employee’s values vis-à-vis corporate values Assess performance of employee AP Values Employee Self Service - Appraisals Assess readiness of employee Make an assessment of employee’s readiness using the JRAT Support & Education: The Global Promotion Template must be completed for promotion to M5 & M6 positions JRAT Global Promotion Template

Owner Resources Submit promotion proposal Proposal to be endorsed by 1 level up manager For License and Consulting, promotion initiated by an SVP are to be endorsed by the EVP Manager JRAT / Global Promotion Template Obtain validation / endorsement For IC3/M2 to IC5/M5 Promotion proposals to be validated by Local HR in consultation with Local MD Endorsement obtained: Proceed to “Transact Promotion” Note: For Support & Education, promotion to M5 positions will be submitted to the World Wide Review Board once local validation has been obtained Disagreement: Proposals to be escalated to the APAC LOB Head for decision For promotion in the Divisional / Regional / Development Organization (e.g., BDC, CDC, Leap Centre), validation from Local MD may not be required For M6 and above Proposal to be reviewed by the AP Promotion Review Board Note: AP Promotion Review Board comprises of Senior Management Team members across multiple Business Units For Support & Education, promotion to M6 position will be submitted to the World Wide Review Board once endorsed by the AP Promotion Board

7 Steps to Complete Tasks
Owner Resources Transact Promotion Endorsement obtained, transact Manager HR Self Service to effect promotion For Support & Education, approval from the World Wide Review Board for promotion to M5/M6 level must be obtained before proposal can be submitted through Manager HR Self Service If proposal is rejected, review with AP LOB Head to defer the promotion Manager Manager HR Self Service
