Be Know Do Be Know Do The Foundation of Fusion The core values of Fusion are embedded in the foundation of Be, Know, and Do. Be encompasses who we are in Christ (born again believers) and who we are to become (Christlike). Know involves what we learn as followers of Christ throughout our lives (study to show yourselves approved workmen unto Christ…). Do is how we live out BE and Know.

Be Know Do Be Know Do Faith Honor Loyalty Courage Sacrifice The Five Columns of Fusion Integrity Upon the foundation rests five columns which identify and exemplify the Fusion commitment to Christian life and service. These columns stand together and are interdependent. They are the indicators that illustrate a life sold out to Jesus Christ.

Faith Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8 1.Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea or thing. 2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. 3. Loyalty to a person or thing; allegiance: keeping faith with one's supporters. 4. The theological virtue defined as secure belief in God and a trusting acceptance of God's will. 5. A set of principles or beliefs.

Faith Without faith in Christ Jesus, all of Fusion’s ideas, training and preparation are useless. Without Jesus Christ, you have no hope.

Honor The wise will inherit honor, but fools display dishonor. Proverbs 3:35 The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, and before honor comes humility. Proverbs 15:33 He who pursues righteousness and loyalty finds life, righteousness and honor. Proverbs 21:21 A quality that combines respect, pride and honesty: a man of honor; We fought for the honor of our country. To show great respect for someone or something, especially in public: He was honored for his bravery. To honor a promise or agreement is to do what you said you would: They decided not to honor an existing order for aircraft. Honorable (adjective) honest and fair, or deserving praise and respect: an honorable person Honorably (adverb): They acted honorably and returned the wallet. Honorable (adjective) honest and fair, or deserving praise and respect: an honorable person Honorably (adverb): They acted honorably and returned the wallet.

Your honor is eternally connected to your integrity. It is both in and through your honor that you gain others’ trust, respect and loyalty.Honor -Honor is sacred. -Honor is respected by those with honor. -Honor comes from within.

Loyalty Loyalty and truth preserve the king and he upholds his throne by righteousness. Proverbs 20:28 For I delight in loyalty rather than sacrifice and in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. Proverbs 15:33 1. Firm and not changing in your friendship with or support for a person or an organization, or in your belief in your principles: When all her other friends deserted her, Steve remained loyal. 2.Your feelings of support or duty towards someone or something: My loyalties to my God and beliefs come before anything else.

Loyalty Loyalty is what unites us. Loyalty is what proves trust. Our relationship with Jesus Christ is fleshed out in our continuing loyalty to Him; through our love, our commitment and our service to our Savior. It is through our loyalty to Jesus and each other that we can faithfully complete the Great Commission. It is our loyalty to Christ and each other that helps to truly define us as Christians!

Courage Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Deut. 31:6 Be strong, and let us show ourselves courageous for the sake of our people and for the cities of our God; and may the LORD do what is good in His sight." 1 Chronicles 19:13 1.The state or quality of mind or spirit that enables one to face danger, fear or vicissitudes with self-possession, confidence and resolution; bravery. 2. A quality of spirit that enables you to face danger of pain without showing fear.

Courage Courage. Intestinal fortitude. Guts. While God is invisible, the power He gives us to be courageous is as real and as tangible as our relationships with each other. It is your God-given courage that enables you to stand strong in the face of danger. Courage is rooted in love and as such, roots out fear. Courage and stupidity are not the same. Courage to do what is right is vastly different from the “guts” to do something harmful or foolish.

Sacrifice And to love Him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as himself, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices. Mark 12:33 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Romans 12:1 Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. Hebrews 13:16 1.To give up something that is valuable to you in order to help another person: We had to make sacrifices in order to pay for our children's education. They cared for their disabled son for 27 years, at great personal sacrifice. 2.Giving up what you want so that other people can have what they want: The job requires a lot of enthusiasm, dedication and self-sacrifice. 3.To die while fighting for a principle: If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up. Daniel 3:17-18

Sacrifice Sacrifice is more than being willing to die. Sacrifice is the willingness to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus. By following Jesus’ example we learn that sacrifice is the ability to surrender your rights to comfort and justice. In American society, Believers are surrounded by the realities of comfort, self indulgence and personal vindication. It is impossible for us to ignore but we do not have to capitulate to it. We must choose, as leaders, to allow our personal faith and honor to be exhibited in our loyalty to each other and courage to do the right thing—even if it means the sacrifice of our own comfort, justice, or lives for the Gospel. While God delights in loyalty rather than “sacrifice”, the word for sacrifice in this passage intends the sacrifice of animals, not personal self-sacrifice. Remember the words of Jesus: “Greater love has no man than this that he lay down his life for his friends” John 15:13

Be Know Do Be Know Do Faith Honor Loyalty Courage Sacrifice The Effective Christian Life The Result of Fusion

The Effective Christian Life Fusion defines the effective Christian Life through the Fusion Ethos and Creed. The Fusion Ethos: -I will serve the body of Christ -I will lead the lost to Christ -I will exemplify the life of Christ -I will sacrifice my life for the cause of Christ -I will go to the nations to proclaim Christ -I will always place Christ first! (For more information, please see the complete Fusion Ethos)

The Effective Christian Life The Fusion Creed seeks to encompass the true essence of the Christian life. It is the clarion call to all who are Fusion to remind them of life’s true objective and the definition of success. The heart of these words were originally penned by Karen Watson, IMB Missionary to Iraq who was martyred in Mosul in 2004. AS A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST: CALLED NOT TO COMFORT OR SUCCESS BUT TO OBEDIENCE. CONSEQUENTLY MY LIFE IS TO BE DEFINED NOT BY WHAT I DO BUT BY WHO I AM. HENCEFORTH: I WILL PROCLAIM HIS NAME WITHOUT FEAR; I WILL SERVE HIM WITHOUT COMPROMISE; AND I WILL FOLLOW HIM WITHOUT REGRET. THUS: TO OBEY IS MY OBJECTIVE, TO SUFFER IS EXPECTED, HIS GLORY IS MY REWARD. THEREFORE: TO CHRIST ALONE BE ALL POWER, ALL HONOR AND ALL GLORY THAT THE WORLD MAY KNOW. AMEN!

The Effective Christian Life The Fusion Ethos and Creed define who we are in Jesus Christ. We are to be catalysts; Christians who are salt and light in a dying world. Our intentions, our actions, our attitudes, and even our reactions to life are for one reason:

The Effective Christian Life To make Jesus Christ known to the nations, in humbleness and love, beginning in our own personal Jerusalem!
