History of E-mail Electronic mail has begun to be used in the 1960s. At that time the Internet has not been established, there is only a collection of computers that form a network. The concept of e-mail was first raised by Ray Tomlinson, a computer engineer at the end of 1971. Ray Tomlinson was working at Bolt, Beranek and Newman (BBN) belonging to American defense agencies. Ray initially experimented with a program called SNDMSG that can be used to leave a message on a computer, so that other people who use a computer that can read the messages left. Then he continued his experiments by using the file protocol called CYPNET so SNDMSG program had been able to send messages to other computers inside the network ARPAnet. EMAIL FORWARDING Email forwarding services automatically redirect all email sent to your new email forwarding address to an existing email address that you specify, in essence passing the messages on instantly to their destination. Because forwarding services don't store your email, you'll need to have an alternate email address to act as the receiver account.

Parts of E-mail An email message is made up of several parts. They include: header It contains information about the sender, the routing and the time of the message. The header always contains a subject line. message body where you write your message. signature which identifies the sender. This part is optional and must be set up inside of your email software.

conclusion E - mail is a letter by electronic media. Email actually stands for " Electronic mail ". By email we can send electronic mail in the form of text or a combination of the image, which is sent from one email address to another address in the Internet network. E - mail can connect us with anyone who is connected to the Internet all over the world with local toll charges.
