Level 3 I CAN Compare and contrast various historical models of the Solar System, including geocentric and heliocentric using evidence from astronomers such as Aristotle, Copernicus, Kepler, and Galileo. Galileo’s discovery of Jupiter’s moons was the first ever proof that objects could orbit other objects. Up until that point they were just making good guesses on how they thought things could move. It truly set the stage for all other discoveries in Astronomy.
