Grade 10 Begins Halfway through grade 10 you select your grade 11 courses WORK APPRENTICESHIP COLLEGE UNIVERSITY Grade 11 Begins Halfway through grade 11 you select your grade 12 courses Don’t forget – the courses you take in grade 10 determine what you take in grade 11 and so on. What you take in grade 12 has a direct impact on what you pursue after school. The lesson? THINK AHEAD! Grade 12 Begins Job, College, University & Apprenticeship applications go out!

4. + What is Careers all about? This course sets out to accomplish three things: 1. Discover your interests, passions, skills, likes/dislikes, etc 2. Explore the workplace and job market 3. Create links between your interests and potential jobs

5. + What is Careers all about? This course will help you ‘map’ out what you want your future to be. It will be as useful as you make it. As for the details, remember to refer to your COURSE OUTLINE!

6. + Reflection Write a 1-2 page reflection with particular emphasis on the following questions: As you think about your future what do you envision? For example: pursuing post secondary studies? What type of job? What type of lifestyle? What obstacles or challenges do you foresee? For example: financial limitations, parental expectations, learning challenges Are there any careers that appeal to you now? Why do you like them? *This reflection will be used in connection with your Final Evaluation Component. As such, consider these questions carefully* This reflection will be assessed for and as learning, not of learning.
