CERN Safety Coordination How it functions

CERN Safety: Who is Responsible?  Everyone present on CERN’s site, i.e. staff, members, and contractors alike  CERN Site Managers  CERN Work Supervisors  Individual Operators

Safety Coordination Legal Basis  SAPOCO 42 stands for the Safety Policy  CERN Committee and deals with Staff Rules and Regulations in matters of Safety  European Directive EEC  Laws and Regulations of both countries

Who are the Health and Safety Coordinators?

How does the Safety coordination operate during a Shut Down period?  All work, tests, interventions, must be:  Planned: Intervention Scheduling (NO access)  Covered by an (ADI / AET) signed by EN/MEF.  Prepared with procedure and fiche de tache  Authorized including, AET, VIC, ALARA, DIMR, consignations, hot work permit, IS 37 etc.  All documentation respected.  Lack of rigor and discipline will result in incidents and accidents at the worst, but will also cost us time and money.

Good working collaboration  Respect the rules and regulations in force  Comply with the training you have been given  Inform your supervisor if you have a problem  Contact us if you need help we can only help if we are informed  No information = No collaboration
