Myth #3 What leaders say about change should never be confused with reality. Myth #4 Change will always be mismanaged. Myth# 5 Efficiency and effectiveness will decrease when changes are attempted. Myth # 6 People who implement change are seen as villains; those who resist are seen as heroes. Myth #7 Management is inherently insensitive to problems caused during the implementation of change. 6 Texas Juvenile Justice Department www.tjjd.texas.gov 6 The 50/30/20 Rule simply states that in any change process 50% of the people will support the change with the necessary information. 30 % of the people will take a “wait and see” approach to change with the right information and 20% of the people will completely reject the change process no matter how much information they receive or how detailed the information is.
