2. OBJECTIVES Create a more professional look and feel – navy/royal blue color scheme. Promote events and content better: – Integrate your google calendar into the site. – Integrate your picasa photo albums into the site. – Allow easy sharing of content through social networks and email. – Use “widgets” to showcase content across many pages. Encourage users to volunteer and get involved: – Have sign-up forms for committees. – Have contact and feedback forms. – Allow commenting on any page or post that you wish.

3. LAYOUT Header displays the logo, a search box, and subscribe links for posts, comments, and email notifications. Main navigation organizes the pages and content of the site into concise and intuitive groupings for clarity and usability. The basic layout for most pages has a main column on the left for the specific page content, and a smaller “sidebar” column on the right for “widgets” showing other related content or showcasing other areas of the site. The content (headings, body, widgets, etc.) are laid out in a modular way so that pages can have different type of content and widgets can be replaced and rearranged, all while keeping the same look and feel for every page.

4. HOME PAGE Prominent “featured” section will show snippets of the most recent posts to promote new content. Several interchangeable “widgets” below can summarize or showcase any section or type of content, from photo galleries to calendars, lists of events, links, documents, feedback or sign- up forms, etc.

5. This shows a page with very basic content… just text. You can choose to let readers leave comments on any page or post that you wish. Like on the Homepage, various “widgets” can be displayed on any page to showcase other content. On most pages they will show up like this in a sidebar on the right. SAMPLE PAGE WITH SIMPLE CONTENT

6. This shows a page with a main photo continuing in the modular style of the layout. This page has more than just paragraphs of text. Notice the style of headings and lists in the body of the page. Notice the various sharing icons at the bottom of the page content. Every page and post should have easy sharing capabilities so readers can post links to your content on their Facebook, Twitter, blog, etc. SAMPLE PAGE WITH MORE CONTENT

7. Category / Topic page: this shows snippets of all the blog postings for a particular category. When clicked they will each show the entire post on a separate page Contact page: will offer various reasons for contacting NSNC, with each option directing the email to the person in charge of that issue. Calendar page: just like the calendar widget, this page will display events and meetings directly from your google calendar. OTHER PAGES
