8 Issues and challenges Additional requirements imposed to the proponent which are not in the guidelines, e.g. Interim Financial Statement, which prolong the evaluation. Limited exposure to promote/ introduce the VFP (Regular/ P.O.) specifically in the Regional activities. Harmonize guidelines between TAPI and SETUP should be finalized to delineate the assistance coverage.

Request some DOST Ros the list of successful SETUP beneficiaries for possible collaboration under VFP specifically PO Financing. Push the proposed tie-up with DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) project.

15 IssuesStrategies School officials and faculties present during the orientation are no longer connected to the school. Sudden changes in the DATBED coordinator. Discuss the DATBED Program with the new management. If possible, conduct re-orientation on the school. Follow-up the school’s DATBED coordinator a week after the orientation for the submission of implementing plan and proposals. Issues and challenges

16 IssuesStrategies School is busy with academic requirements and other school activities thus, they cannot submit documentary requirements. - Continous follow-up (letter, e- mail and phone calls) for the submission of documents. - Assist the academic institutions in the preparation of the documentary requirements by providing them the implementing plan and proposal format. 17 IssuesStrategies Several government and non- governmental organizations also offer trainings and financial assistance for students’ enterprise projects. (e.g. DOLE giving P100,000 to SUCs not requiring submission of proposals.) Pro-active in the promotion of the program. Issues and challenges

19 DATBED Proposed activities for CY 2016 Proactive in the promotion of the program in the region Call for proposals to DATBED accredited schools under the program. Schools scheduled for end-of-program assessment will also be encouraged to submit project proposals under Stage II. Create a new DATBED modality for the Senior High Schools (K-12 Curriculum: Technical Vocational Livelihood track)

21 Strategies (to achieve the targets) : Coordinated with Regional Offices and DOST RDIs for the endorsement of the list of firms assisted thru CAPE/MPEX/SETUP for possible CAMPI assistance; Conducted phone calls to potential beneficiaries to introduce/promote the CAMPI Program Coordinated with various Consultancy firms for orientation of CAMPI Program and submission of proposals; Coordinated with Venture Financing Program re: equipment upgrading/DOST RDIs for Technology requirements of SMEs; and Orientation of approved firm beneficiaries.
