4 Arnd Meyer (RWTH Aachen) July 18, 2003Page 4 Major Downtimes July 11-17 ● CAL: 2.4 hrs ≃ 140 BLS power supply trips Fri-Mon ● SMT: 0.9 hrs About 20 min at beginning of store on Sunday: large number of occupancy alarms confuses shift crew. Happened on several recent stores – likely caused by higher trigger rates with v12 ( more events read out during out-of-store physics run) 23 min Thursday, trip + HDI disabled ● L3: 0.7 hrs Two incidents (Sat/Sun) of L3 nodes (52, 73) dropping out of the run. Required calling expert (incomplete documentation?). Improved l3supervisor. ● L1MUO: 0.5 hrs – hardware failure requiring access ● CFT: 0.2 hrs – crate 0x51 ● Muon, CTT,...: nothing above ≃ 8min

5 Arnd Meyer (RWTH Aachen) July 18, 2003Page 5 Events ● BLS power supply trips ● Two fairly long controlled accesses on Tuesday CAL, L1 Muo high priority Muons, CFT/CTT, FPD used the opportunity ● New trigger list 12.20 online since run 178992 Thursday morning Reduced some M&P rates, decoupled some L1/L2 bits, modified b tool Most prescale sets are in reasonable shape. L3 rates still high. ● Shifter tutorial: there will be a “high level trigger jamboree” on Aug 4 L2 tutorial L3DAQ tutorial 3 talks by the trigger meisters
