1 Train-the-Trainer Process for Providers

2  Provider staff who request to be an official trainer.  Must have sufficient skills and experience; and  Must have Instructor Techniques Workshop (ITW) certification.

3  Provider should contact the director of Research and Planning and request that one or more staff be a trainer.  Provider must sign (MOA) with DJJ.  Individual trainer must sign (MOA) with DJJ.

4  Must successfully complete Instructors Techniques Workshop.  Must observe a class being taught by a DIO.  Take a field test with a DIO.  Team teach a course with a DIO.  Solo teach a course while being observed by a DIO.  Annual refresher training and re-evaluation.

5  Trainer must participate in data integrity and system upgrade conference calls.  Must follow DJJ’s training curriculum without deviation.  May only train and share information for official purposes.  Must be willing to share student survey results with DJJ.
