7/9/2015 Keep in Mind: Evaluation Evaluation is not only about identification/label When is a reevaluation required Review of Existing Data is critical part of the process Initial referrals must be processed promptly The district’s procedures must be made clear Referral may not be delayed to accommodate MLSS/RtI Early Childhood transition requires coordination w/ Birth to 3 – IEP by 3rd birthday August 2015 WI DPI

7/9/2015 Keep in Mind: IEP and Placement The IEP team must meet at least once a year to review and revise (as appropriate) the IEP There must be an IEP in effect at all times Provide parents a copy of placement notice and finalized IEP, before IEP is implemented Date on placement notice “parent provided… ” is date the notice and IEP is provided to the parent Dates should correspond with those on cover sheet and summary of services Use of I-10 A and B August 2015 WI DPI
