OVERVIEW –HP Systems Insight Manager Reporting enables you to: Generate reports Create customer-defined report configurations Edit, copy, and delete report configurations Use wizard to select reporting data Save report configuration to use later Run reports on: –Event information –nPars information –Tape libraries –Enhanced reports Ie: Availability charts, pie chart of licensed vs unlicensed systems –Schedule and email reports

MANAGING REPORTS –Managing reports Select a report to generate Add a new report Copy an existing report Edit an existing report Delete any report –Rules Only single-selection is supported All users should be able to run a report Users must have correct access privileges to copy, create, edit, or delete a report Report results display in a separate browser window For CSV format, if Microsoft Office is available, report opens in Excel

CREATING REPORTS –Report wizard consists of three steps Select/Verify targets Add filters (optional) Specify parameters –Rules: A report name is required to save and run the report If no name specified, assigned “Unnamed Report” A report can be run after the user makes a selection in the tree view box

COPYING REPORTS –Use the Copy Report option to make a copy of an existing report before making changes –Beginning with a predefined layout and making modifications is easier than customizing a report from the beginning –Copied configuration available from Manage Reports
