ANSWER Grab Bag - $100 Draw a dot diagram showing an object starting at x = -8 m and moving at a constant velocity of -4 m/s for 4 s.

ANSWER Grab Bag - $200 What is the initial position of the object represented by this mathematical function?

ANSWER Grab Bag- $300 When is this object moving in the negative direction? (A)From t = 6s to t=10s (B) From t = 8s to t=10s (C) From t = 3s to t=8s (D) From t = 0s to t=3s (E) Never

ANSWER Grab Bag - $400 Calculate the velocity of this object, and the speed of this object. Position (m)

ANSWER Grab Bag - $500 At what position is this object be when the clock reading is 6.7 s? x (m)

Making Predictions - $100 ANSWER How far does this object move between 5s and 10s? x (m)

Making Predictions - $200 ANSWER A Nascar© car, starting out at x = -80 m, drives at 100 m/s in the positive direction. What will be its position after 2.5 s?

Making Predictions - $300 ANSWER Which cyclist has a head start? By how much? When do the cyclists pass each other?

Making Predictions- $400 ANSWER A grizzly bear starts out at the position -8m, and walks at a velocity of 1.8 m/s. What position will the bear have 15 seconds later?

Making Predictions - $500 ANSWER Predict the position of the object after 1 minute Position (m)

Definitions - $100 ANSWER Tells you only how fast an object moves not the direction of motion

Definitions- $200 ANSWER The location of an object along the coordinate axis.

Definitions- $300 ANSWER Type of motion where the position vs. time graph looks like a straight diagonal line

Definitions- $400 ANSWER How fast an object is moving, as well as its direction of motion.

Definitions- $500 ANSWER This property of a position vs time graph can tell you the object’s velocity

My Graph- $100 ANSWER The velocity of the object whose motion is shown here

My Graph- $200 The object in the graph which is traveling the fastest ANSWER

My Graph - $300 ANSWER Describe the motion of this object in words. Be specific! Position (m)

My Graph- $400 ANSWER When is this object at rest? When is this object moving the fastest?

My Graph- $500 ANSWER (A) From t = 0s to t = 3s (B) From t = 3s to t = 7s (C) From t = 7s to t = 10s (D) Always (E) Never When is the helicopter moving in the positive direction?

Comparisons - $100 ANSWER One is measured by your speedometer, and the other can be measured by your speedometer and a compass

Comparisons - $200 ANSWER Compare the motion of these two objects. Be specific!

Comparisons - $300 ANSWER Compare the motion of these two objects. Be specific!

Comparisons - $400 ANSWER Graph the motion of each of these cars on the same set of axes. Then describe what is happening here.

Comparisons - $500 ANSWER A panda bear and a baboon are walking toward each other. The panda starts at the position x = 20 m and walks with a velocity of -1 m/s. The baboon starts at x = -10 m and walks with a velocity of 1 m/s. Draw a graph to predict when and where they will meet.

Directions for Changing the Game To change the questions and answers, just type over the problems…Use the “replace” feature to change the categories easily The daily doubles were originally set to category #4 for $500 and category #2 for $300 To change the daily doubles you must –1. Change the hyperlink for the links on the main board to go to the appropriate question, therefore bypassing the daily double slide –2. Change the hyperlink on the continue button on each daily double slide to go to the new question.
