Chapters 10-12 Highlights Work with your group to write the highlights from chapters 10, 11, and 12 in your notebook Chapter 10 – Pony tells the gang that Johnny is dead and that Dally is going to blow up “Johnny was the only thing Dally loved” (Hinton 152) – Dally robbed a grocery store – Dally raised an unloaded gun at the police and is shot by them Suicide by police – Pony passes out from a concussion and when he wakes up he can’t remember what happened right away

Just zero” (Hinton 170). – Pony and Darry fight about his grades, Dally, and Johnny Soda runs out and drops the letter he sent Sandy Pony finds out Soda wasn’t the father of Sandy’s baby Pony realizes that he’s acted uninterested in Soda’s problems – Darry and Pony find Soda Soda tells them he can’t take their fighting – When Pony picks up Gone with the Wind, he finds a letter from Johnny – Pony decides to tell the story of what happened – Book ends the same way it started
