Size: 2 nd largest planet, 74,600 miles in diameter, almost ten times the size of Earth. Name: Derived from the Roman god of agriculture Gravity : 100 lbs. on Earth is 116 lbs. on Saturn Discovery: Discovered by Galileo in 1610 Visibility: Can be seen by the naked eye This is a model of Galileo’s telescope

Saturn was formed more than 4 billion years ago and is made of gases. Saturn was formed by large masses of gas combining in the universe. As the gasses mixed, they got bigger and gathered more gasses. With the help of gravity, Saturn was formed.
4
Saturn doesn't have a solid surface, instead it’s outer core is made up of hydrogen and helium. Also Saturn has storms on its surface resembled by red dots. This is a storm on Saturn’s surface
5
Saturn is composed of 4 layers Outer Gaseous, Outer Middle hot liquid, on inner middle metallic hydrogen, and a rocky-ice core as seen here. Rocky-Ice Core Hydrogen Hot liquidMetallic Hydrogen

Saturn has a total of seven rings. The rings are about 3,200 feet thick and span about 175,000 miles. They are mostly made up of rock, ice, and dust. This is an artists interpretation of Saturn’s rings.
7
Saturn has over thirty known moons here are just a few, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, Hyperion, Lapetus, Pan, Atlas, Prometheus, and Aegaeon. Most moons are named after Roman gods. The largest is Titan(as seen below) while the smallest is Aegaeon. Saturn’s Largest Moon: Titan
