3 He/She can define the term of ethics 3 Definition-1 Moral values are originated from the difference between the «good or true» and «bad or false» behaviors of human beings. However, good or bad behaviors are not always agreed by everyone. Definition-1 Moral values are originated from the difference between the «good or true» and «bad or false» behaviors of human beings. Definition-2 Ethics is used as an alternative term for moral philosophy which is a social science to classify the behaviors of human beings. Therefore ethics is used to describe the moral values. Definition-3 Law is the a set of behaviors that must be obeyed when human interacts each other. So the law regulates and determines the consequences of the human behaviors. 4 He/She can explain the term ethic 4  Ethic is derived from the term of “ethos”(custom) which is defined as the actions that is TRUE or FALSE in accordance with moral rules  Ethic and Moral terms are frequently used interchangeably but the distinction is meaningful when secularism involved  Ethic has a special perspective that it approaches many disciplines with a distinct dimension, for example; professional ethics, medical ethics, media ethics, science ethics and so on.

Should I behave what society suggest? Should I protect my family’s wealth along with others’ wealth So how to balance accordingly What is the meaning of free will What is the base of our behaviors: “Mind” or “Emotions” How about “good”, “true”, “obligation”, ”task” and “conscious” theoretically or practically?

8 He/She can justify the necessities of engineering ethics courses 8  Ethics course prepares the students for professional life  It helps students to make decisions when controversial cases that include ethical considerations  Some skills that are acknowledged by public can be acquired: communication, questioning, giving right decision and so on.  It maintains students to find «the good» and «the right» choice by comparing different ideas on any subject  It helps you to understand the nature of professional responsibilities

They have a preference for health, safety and wealth of the society a) If anything damage the human life or property in the nature of Professional decisions, you must let anybody know related b) The documents must rely on applicable standards c) The private data cannot be publicized unless law dictates d) The engineers must not be collaborated with people or establishments that have incidents related to bribery and corruption e) Engineers must collaborate with public authorities accordingly when required

Never sign documents out of their knowledge and skills c. In some projects that involve many engineers, only sign documents belong to his/her field
