15. I am Apostle Paul and I am here to tell you about Kavala in Byzantine times. Great! I know that you were the first Apostle who came to Greece. When did you come to Kavala? Very interesting! In 54 a.C I came from East to the port of Neapolis and then I went to Philippi where I taught the Christianism. Of course not. Christoupolis wasn‘t a town for 140 years and appeared again in the end of the 15 th and 16 th century as Kavala. Really? And then? In the middle of the 8 th and 9 th century a.C. Byzantines changed the name of the town to Christoupolis. In 1391, Christoupolis was conquered by the Turkish people and was completely destroyed. And what about Kavala? The history of the town ends here?
