6 SHULER AWARDS Eligible schools must adhere to the following: High School must be located in the state of Georgia. Musical productions must take place between October 1, 2015 and March 20, 2016. To be adjudicated, a musical production qualifies if it is a full-length musical listed on the 2016 National High School Musical Awards Qualifying Roles. THE ADJUDICATION PROCESS… 3 Adjudicators and 1 Committee Member will each attend production. Adjudicators evaluate how each participating high school musical meets or exceeds its potential, utilizing its available resources. Each musical is evaluated and scored against itself for consideration, rather than against all other school productions, charging schools to create the best possible work in their unique circumstance and environment. 7 MARK YOUR CALENDARS! December 14- Prescheduled conflicts, contracts and production fees handed to Mrs. Carlile January 30- Dance workshop 10-5 pm. March 9-March 16- Tech week March 17-March 19- Cinderella performance March 19- Strike after last show. MUST STAY FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR.

8 REHEARSALS After school: Jan 5- March 8 3:45-6:30 March 9-113:45-7:00 March 143:45-7:30 March 15-163:45-8:00 Performances out by 9:30 Saturdays: Jan 30 and March 12 10am-5pm

9 DANCE WORKSHOPS Tuesdays and Thursdays Bring water. Hair pulled back. Dress to move! Stay within dress code. (No restrictive clothing! Ex: dresses, jeans) Dance shoes recommended (jazz, ballet, character, sneakers) No bare feet! No flip flops or sandals!

10 SCENE BUILDS Objective: Students are encouraged to attend scene builds to learn the other aspects of Theatre and use their skills to create theatrical productions. EACH CAST/CREW MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND 2 SCENE BUILDS OR COMPLETE 14 PRODUCTION HOURS. Students and parents are welcome to participate - All scene builds are open to all students and parents. Please come by and work with us! Scene builds begin at 10 am and end at 5pm. - The side door (by the theater) will be open for volunteers to enter by 10. Locked afterwards. NO ADMITTANCE AFTER 10 AM Lunch break is at 1 pm- Students are expected to bring a lunch with them. We will have a 30 minute break to eat. Parents are allowed to drop off lunch at 1 pm. Light snacks will be provided. No one leaves until the space is clean- We are responsible for the mess during scene builds. All projects cease at 4:30 during scene builds. Once the space is returned to a clean space, all workers are free to go. Cellphones are allowed ONLY outside of the working area and during lunch. - Please contact Carlile if constant contact is a must and arrangements will be made. Workers are required to wear the appropriate attire- Long hair pulled back from face, clothes that are allowed to be dirty or painted, long pants, and closed toe shoes are a must during scene builds. Volunteers MIGHT be send home for improper attire.

11 REQUIRED PRODUCTION FUNDRAISERS Each student is expected to sell: 5 show tickets 1 Ad/ Sponsorship submission DUE FEBRUARY 23 *Failure to do so, will result in a 10 minute extra strike time per item not sold. Contest Opportunity: The student with the most money amount sold for ad/sponsorship submissions and the student who sold the most tickets will be excused from the strike session on March 19.
