5. THE HEART OF WORSHIP THE ARK OF THE COVENANT ARK – (anown) a large box or chest as opposed to Noah’s Ark (tebah = life preserver or life saver) COVENANT – formal or legal binding declaration of benefit given to one party by another with or without conditions attached: one-sided grant

6. THE HEART OF WORSHIP The Ark of the Covenant was a mobile and visible reminder that God: – Was with Israel – Would provide for Israel – Was in the middle of all that Israel was doing

THE HEART OF WORSHIP The Contents of the Ark of the Covenant Tablets of the Ten Commandments that state: – We are to Love God first – Matthew 22:37 An internal experience for all who desire Him – We are to Love Others and Ourselves – Matthew 22:39; John 13:35 An external/visible expression of our love for God

THE HEART OF WORSHIP The Ark is in the center of all that was going on with Israel – the Heart of their Worship When we allow the Lord to be in the center of our lives – THE HEART OF OUR WORSHIP – we are better able to express our love for others and able to love ourselves as well. ********1 John 4:7-21********
