3 When it all started!  1567 - 1320 BC Egyptian pharaohs favored archery  1027 - 256 BC in China - Zhou (chou) dynasty  Who attended?  English longbow  Why?

4 The Olympics  Archery 1 st appeared in 1900  Significance of 1904  52 year break  1972 games till the present

5 Competition advancement- 1992  Head to Head match play  Modern archery  Four events  Men and women  Team and individual

6 How does the competition work?  Head to head rules  Rankings (qualifications)  Only the winner continues  Team events are organized the same way. Targets are 70 meters away, 1.22 meters across, 1.3 meters above ground and contain 10 concentric rings.
