Why to speak about the licencing? Problem with copyrights Not clear situation with using resources on internet

Creative Commons ‘Creative Commons provides easy and effective tools for creators to share their creative work when they want to. The resulting ability to share and collaborate enables new forms of creativity and enriches us all.’ (Mitchell Baker, Chair of Mozilla Foundation)

Creative Commons Creative Commons is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making it easier for people to share and build upon the work of others, consistent with the rules of copyright. Creative Commons provides free licenses and other legal tools to mark creative work with the freedom the creator wants it to carry, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof.

License Conditions Creators choose a set of conditions they wish to apply to their work -> 4 versions: –Attribution –Share Alike –Noncommercial –No Derivate Works

Attribution You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform your copyrighted work - and derivate works based upon it - but only if they give credit the way you request

Share Alike You allow others to distribute derivate works only under a license identical to the license that governs your work.

Noncommercial You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform your work - and derivate works based upon it - but for noncommercial purposes only.

No Derivate Works You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform only verbatim copies of your work, not derivate works based upon it.
