1 What Must I Do To Be saved Then Peter said to them repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. –Acts 2:38

2 The Bible says that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. Therefore when we come before God we must first repent of our sin. Repent literally means to turn around and face the other direction. So when the Bible says repent Its telling us to ask God to forgive our sins, and the make a mental decision to turn our life around and stop doing those things that we used to do. If you are sincere in your God will forgive you of all your sin. Scripture: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. -1Corinthians 5:17 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 john 1:9

3  You must be baptized in Jesus name in order to have your sins washed away. When you repent God will forgive you of your sins, but when you are baptized in the name of JESUS your sins are washed away and in Gods sight it is like they were never there. How are my sins washed away? Jesus paid the ultimate price for you. He knew that you would go to hell when you died because of the sin in your heart (all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God) and that the only way that could be changed was if some one who was perfect and blameless would take on the sin of the whole world and take it to the grave. Since all humans are born with sin there was not and never could be a perfect sacrifice. So God who is perfect and holy wrapped Himself in a human body and came to earth to be that sacrifice. Scripture And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. -1John 3:5 The next day John sees Jesus coming unto him, and says, behold the lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world. -John 1:29 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His glory. –Ephesians 1:7 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

4 Receive the Holy Ghost The next step is easy because we all like to receive things. God has promised us that if we obey the first two commands (repent and be baptized) that He would give us His spirit as a gift. In other words He will live inside of us. When we have Gods spirit inside us He will help us make right choices in every day life. God also desires to have a personal relationship with you, so when He’s inside you, you can grow closer to Him in a one on one relationship with God. Isn’t it awesome to think that you can have a personal relationship with the one and only creator of the universe and all that igsist. And God is offering all of this as a free gift. How do I know when I have The Holy Ghost When you pray ask God to fill you with His Spirit then give Him control of your tongue and let Him speak through you in another language this is the sign God has given us, this is how we know that God is in us. Scripture For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. -Acts2:39 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance –Acts 2:4 God is our gift
