10  Near-Wellbore Region 1 oil saturation in this region is high enough to allow the condensate to flow flowing composition (GOR) is almost constant throughout Region 1. This means that the overall composition of the flowing mixture is constant in Region 1 and equal to the composition of the single-phase gas at the limit between Region 2 and Region 1 the composition of the producing wellstream is the composition of the single phase gas leaving Region 2

11 the dew point pressure of the producing wellstream is equal to the pressure at the boundary between Region 2 and Region 1 The oil saturation increases in the reservoir as the mixture flows towards the well because the pressure decreases The amount of oil dropped out in Region 1 depends primarily on the PVT properties of the original mixture and the production rate

12 Condensate Buildup Region 2 The condensate is dropping out of the gas but it has zero or very low mobility At the outer edge of Region 2 the first droplets of liquid condense from the original gas, therefore the pressure at the outer edge of Region 2 (at the boundary with Region 3) equals the dew point pressure of the original reservoir gas The buildup of condensate is due to the pressure drop below the dew point pressure the condensate drop out due to the pressure decline in the reservoir can be computed from the CVD experiment Once the condensate saturation around the well allows oil mobility, Region 1 develops from the well

13  Single-Phase Gas Region 3 The pressure is greater than the dew point pressure original gas is present.
