3 What is Army OneSource? AOS Mission
Army OneSource (AOS) is a Secretary of the Army Initiative to provide comprehensive community support and service delivery for Soldiers and their Families regardless of component or geographic location. Through State Community Support Coordinators located throughout the US, AOS is raising awareness and generating support among the private sector to effectively serve the unique challenges of Military life, including the growing demand for behavioral health, financial, legal and faith-based services. Utilizing traditional establishments on Military Installations, a Web-based portal, and local community partners, AOS is helping empower Soldiers and their Family Members to be strong, healthy and connected to the best resources wherever they may be. Provides online information about available programs and services Offers an e-learning center which provides educational courses on topics such as military culture, budgeting and finances Provides access to a services locator where Service members, their Families and Veterans can search for specific services in their area by zip code Provides a virtual word in which SMVFs can stay connected with friends through ArmyBook AOS Resources

7 What is an Alliance? What is an AOS Alliance?
An Alliance is a state-level strategic partnership between vested stakeholders who have an interest in improving services and support for Service Members, their Families and Veterans They are intended to be self-sustaining initiatives, sharply focused on improving outcomes over time Through the facilitation of State Community Support Coordinators(SCSC’S), relationships are built and Partnerships created making way for improved processes and systems for our nation’s heroes. Service Members & Their Families Military Leadership National Guard & Reserve State & Local Governments / Agencies Army OneSource National, State & Local Associations Educational Institutions Veterans Services Organization Non-profits Behavioral Health- State Agencies and Associations, Educational Institutions, First Responders, Military Leaders, Primary Care Physicians, Social Workers, Behavioral Health Providers, State and National Organizations Finance- State Bankers Associations, Better Business Bureaus, Military Leaders and Consumer Credit Counselors and other DoD Approved Financial Organizations Legal- State Bar Associations, Law Schools, JAG’s and Legal Aid/Assistance Organizations Faith Based- Chaplains, Local Churches National Religious and State based Faith Based organizations Aligning the Work

9 Mobilizing the Community
AOS State Community Support Coordinators State Community Support Coordinators (SCSCs) are charged with executing a 50-state strategy to mobilize community resources, focusing on developing senior-level Alliances with public, private and non-profit organizations SCSCs are primarily responsible for building added service capacity for geographically dispersed Service members, their Families and Veterans including all Active-duty, Reserves and National Guard in the areas of Behavioral Health, Finance, Legal, and Faith Based.
