2 An interactive presentation will allow your user to find the information that they need rather than just looking at each slide in order. Click on the topic of information that you would like to find out about How does it work? What type of things can I use it for? What do I need to consider? How can I test my presentation? How can I evaluate my work? The Task

3 How does it work? The presentation works using hyperlinks, a bit like a website. If you need help creating hyperlinks in PowerPoint click here.click here It also uses action buttons like the ones shown below, if you need help creating these click here.click here

4 What type of things can I use it for? This type of presentation is used by a person who wants to find out information from it. Instead of going through each slide in order the user is given the option by clicking on a button of selecting the information they need. It could be used with a touch screen.

5 What do I need to consider? You need to think about your user and the information they will need. Remember to design your presentation with the user in mind: who are your audience? what are their requirements? will they need instructions? (for example would they be able to use the buttons below?)

6 How can I test my presentation? The best way to test your presentation is to ask someone else to use it – then you can use their comments to make improvements – things that seem clear to you may not be to other people Use the peer assessment sheet to help you to do this click here to access itclick here

9 Creating Hyperlinks This is one way to create a hyperlink in PowerPoint 1.Before you create the hyperlink you will need to create the slide to hyperlink to 2.Create your button or highlight the word as shown below 3.Then right click and select and select action settings, then click the radio button “hyperlink to then select slide and the number of the slide you wish to hyperlink to as shown below. 4. Click OK then OK again. You will need to view the show for the hyperlink to work Back

10 Creating Action Buttons You can create action buttons by using the autoshapes as shown below When you select an action button and “draw it out” a hyperlink will automatically be created you can either use this or edit it. You can use an action button for home, back forward etc or use a blank button and create your own, like the button shown below which you can use to go back Back
