15 How SOD Storage Can Benefit California  The operational flexibility of SOD surface storage can produce benefits for supply, quality and the ecosystem while reducing stressors in the Delta  TF and LVE can both serve SWP Contractors by helping improve or at least retain SWP supply reliability  Can integrate FWUA service area with the SWP and CVP  Can work conjunctively with groundwater and improve the efficiency of other water management measures (transfers, exchanges, timing dependent actions)  Provide water supply in drought periods– when the benefits of conservation can lose their effectiveness

16 Next Steps A revised schedule is being developed in light of:  San Joaquin River Settlement Agreement  Integration Opportunities  Wanger Decision, Climate Change, Delta Conveyance  Objective: Get Feasibility Study Report Done ASAP!
