4 STAR Data If you want to share your STAR Renaissance Learning data with CIITS you have to complete the following annually for Renaissance Learning: Email support@renaissance.com and indicate that you wish to share your STAR data with CIITS. After you contact support, a click-through data sharing agreement will be deployed and available on your Renaissance Place site for administrator authorization. The authorization of the data sharing agreement will be the signal to Renaissance to allow your STAR data to be securely shared with KDE for viewing in CIITS.support@renaissance.com For any additional questions please contact Jennifer Grimes at jennifer.grimes@renaissance.com jennifer.grimes@renaissance.com You do NOT have to fill out the KDE form for STAR Data Sharing if you have already done this in the past

6 GradeCam Currently approximately 40 districts are using the GradeCam integration with CIITS.  If your district or school does not already have a GradeCam license, you can still sign-up for a free GradeCam account that allows you to score assessments containing 10 questions or less.  Schools or Districts wanting to take advantage of this new integration (whether free or paid), will need to contact Maritta Horne so that we may set up the synchronization of data between GradeCam and CIITS. 9 What is MDC? Funded by Gates Foundation Math Design Collaborative (MDC) – Curriculum designers – Assessment developers – Professional learning specialists – District and school networks – High quality instructional tools 9

10 Conceptual Understanding and Problem Solving… MDC focuses on building student understanding of mathematics concepts by working through problems, rather than memorizing formulas and plugging them into a page of workbook problems.

12 MDC is About…. Students and teachers Using evidence of learning To adapt teaching and learning To meet immediate learning needs Minute ‐ to ‐ minute and day-by-day (Thompson & Wiliam, 2007)
