9 Government’s support to the schools reopening effort  Monitoring and Supervision  15 vehicles and 98 motorbikes: Procurement process advanced to PPCC level  Minor renovation of 500 schools (procurement process underway)  Subsidy to private schools (Under discussion)  School fees for grades 10 -12 only LD700.00 for the entire year  No school fees for K – 9 grades  One million textbooks for grades 5 – 9 (to be distributed under the GPE Project)  1.3 million supplementary readers (to be distributed)

10  1.4 million assorted instructional materials and supplies 20,000 teachers’ guide will be distributed  13 newly constructed schools under GPE project will be dedicated soon.  All public primary schools will benefit from US$1.9 million school grant (at US$4.00 per student)  50,000 copies of the Code of Conduct for teachers and school administrators developed and printed; and distribution is ongoing  21,761 arm chairs produced and distributed in schools 10 in counties  8 science laboratories at high schools in Montserrado, Bong, Sinoe and Grand Kru Counties rehabilitated with support from NOCAL
