1 Basic informations about OPC-technology A.Klepper – 01/04/11 Rev.A 6.1

2 A.Klepper – 01/04/11 Rev.B 2 The OPC-Client has access to the OPC- server via TCP/IP, and present the data points in the BMS as graphics TCP/IP-Communication Different protocolls, e.g. Modbus, LON,KNX BMS Typical OPC application The OPC-Server collect the process datas aia a proprietary field bus from the field devices And provide these as OPC objects in the OPC-server

3 A.Klepper – 01/04/11 Rev.B 3 CGVision - Structure CG-S/USB Interfacebox USB-Port CG-S Bus to ZB-S systems Database CG-S OPC-Server CGVision visualisation (OPC-Client) OR + CG-S/IP Interface LAN-Port (RJ45) LAN to ZB-S systems via CG-S/IP router USB-Port

4 A.Klepper – 01/04/11 Rev.B 4 The CEAG CG-S OPC-Server is a Hardware-driver, which allows a BMS-software (e.g. CGVision) as OPC-client, a communication to CEAG emergency lighting systems with STAR-technology (CG-S Bus). An another BMS software for visualisation, must be able to support the OPC- interface. (e.g. Intouch from wonderware, B-CON etc.) The possible messages for status (e.g. circuit failure), or rather commandos (e.g. start functionstest) are described in a special interface description. Short description of CEAG CG-S OPC-Server Screenshot:
