5 The End When you go to the beach notice the erosion damage that might have occurred over the winter. Think about rip current safety before you decide to go for a swim. Can you identify a rip current at the beach where you are visiting? Talk to the lifeguard to find out if rip currents are common at your beach and remember what you would do if you saw someone caught in a rip current!
