3   NNo, it's the Red River in Louisiana. TThere are many more bodies of water such as Lake Pontchartio, the Mississippi River or even Ouchita River.

4 Did you know many famous people lived in Louisiana such as Peyton Manning and Brittney Spears?

5 I would like to tell you about my favorite quarterback, Peyton Manning

6 He was born March 24, 1976. Peyton Manning is the son of Archie Manning and Olivia Manning. Peyton went to college in Tennessee. He married his wife Ashley Thompson in 2001. 

8  Here are some interesting facts about Louisiana. Let's start with the population. There are 4,351,769 people living in Louisiana. The capital is Baton Rouge. The state bird is the pelican. The state flower is the Magnolia. The state tree is the BaldCypress.

9  Usually it is very hot in Louisiana. Summers are the hottest with temperatures in the 90's. Winters are not even that cold Winters in Louisiana are usually in the 60's. Even though it seems very peaceful, it's not always.

11  Louisiana has many great features, but this one feature is not so great. This one event happened in late August 2005. HURRICANE KATRINA!! Hurricane Katrina had claimed more than 1,300 lives. It flooded the majority of the whole city. It even separated New Orleans and Lake Ponchartrain.

12  Louisiana's history is very interesting to me. Let’s start from the 1700's and on.  In 1718 Louisiana was founded and named after King Louis XIV of France.  Then in 1812 it became the 18th state which was a very good accomplishment.  Also, in 1901 oil was found underground by construction workers.  Louisiana's history is very interesting to me.
