2 Assessments~State and District  MAP (Measurement of Academic Progress) tests will be given in the Fall. No longer given in the Spring.  ISAT II, new name for the SBAC (Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium). To see sample items, go to: http://www.smarterbalanced.org/ http://www.smarterbalanced.org/  Sixth grade does not take a math outcomes assessment. SBAC scores are used to place students in accelerated math in 7 th grade.

4 Powerschool  PowerSchool Parent can be accessed on the Internet at: https://ps.westada.org/public/home.htmlorg/public  Or on the district webpage at: http://www.westada.org then selecting Parents > PowerSchool Parent or use the icon on the top right hand corner.  The student’s school will provide the username and password to the parent(s).  PS Parent is an online resource that allows you to see your student's grades, attendance, teacher assignments and notes, and allows you to set up an email account to receive progress reports.

6 Volunteering  We will need volunteers in early Spring to start planning our 6 th grade celebration. The celebration will occur on the last day of school, June 3. Look for an email the beginning of April.

7 Parent Information Survey  Please go to Mrs. Son’s website and fill out the Parent Contact Information. It is located on the 6 th Grade Team Information page.
