11 A season is a subdivision of the year, marked by changes in weather, ecology, and hours of daylight. Seasons result from the yearly revolution of the Earth around the Sun and the tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the plane of revolution When a hemisphere is pointed towards the sun due to the Earth’s tilt, that hemisphere will get direct light which leads to hot temperatures. We call this season summer. When a hemisphere like us in the Northern Hemisphere, starts to tilt away from the sun, we start to get indirect light, which leads to cold temperatures and eventually winter
