The world reacted by calling for Iran to halt its nuclear plans. Iran continued on with their nuclear program, the world responded with more sanctions on Iran. The reason that the United States and other western countries are nervous about the nuclear program is that the construction of a nuclear plant for energy, will lead to the use of nuclear energy in the military.
