3. BUILDING STRONG ® Nationwide Permits  Nationwide Permits (NWP) are a mechanism used for a quick permit decision for projects with minimal impacts. 3

4. BUILDING STRONG ® NWP’s continued  Currently 51 NWP’s with NWP 26 reserved.  NWP’s are renewed every 5 years with the latest renewal in March of 2012.  NWP’s are for projects with minimal impacts.  Must be verified by Corps within 45 days of a complete submittal. 4

5. BUILDING STRONG ® NWP’s continues  Must be in compliance with all general conditions (SHPO, Endangered Species, etc.).  Mitigation may be required to ensure impacts are minimal. 5
