3 2015 BME-IDEA – Tampa, FL Novel Feature Innovation-Commercialization (IC) projects Multi-disciplinary (business + engineering teams of excellence (E-teams) take promising innovations through the research and development (R&D) process to create marketable devices and start new businesses

4 2015 BME-IDEA – Tampa, FL Novel Feature Innovation-Commercialization (IC) projects This year’s E-teams have adopted projects from UAB Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Alabama, UAB Physics Lab, and a local dental implant company, Biohorizons Ex: Recumbent patient mattress scale: elements of mobile/digital health, in the form of data sharing of weight with general/emergency health providers.
