3 Questions What two forces fought in the Alamo? Who were the leaders of each army? Explain why Mexico wanted the republic of Texas. How would you feel if you were in the battle of the Alamo? What would you do with your 21 guns? Relate your character to your present day hero.

4 Task Students will be divided into groups of four and assigned one historical figure of the Alamo. Students will then research that person and create a poster and present it to the class.

5 Process Roles in Each Group Everyone will do their own research Member One- The “Artist” draw for the poster Member Two- The “Author” write for the poster Member Three- The “Actor” dress up as character Member Four- The “Narrator” presents the poster

9 Evaluation Students will be evaluated on their ability to research the questions given to them and apply what they learn in poster form with creativity. Also they will be evaluated on how well they present their information to the class
