2. Sywell EGBK EMC2010 The British Microlight Aircraft Association and the Royal Aero Club submit their final bid to hold the 2010 European Microlight Championships at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire from 7 th to 15 th August 2010. Sywell, which is in the centre of England 260 km from Dover, was opened in 1928 and is a traditional British aerodrome. Until 2008 its runways have been of grass but a new tarmac runway is being laid down and will be complete by 2010 although EMC2010 will be flown from the grass.
