5 Major Attractions Sacramento, California- is the capital of California. Hollywood, California- many old movies such as “the wizard of Oz, Stagecoach, and Gone with the wind” were made in Hollywood. Also people are attracted by the theaters of entertainment. Los Angles, California- is were the home of The Dodgers is. Their games are played with a full stadium.

6 Major Attractions Cont. Sandiego, California- is the home to the Sandiego Chargers. Ananem, California- the Ananem park is the true Home to the wonderful world of Disney. Yosemite National Park- is one of California’s and the nations most popular vacation spots. Why? well the sites are the most beautiful in the hole state. Also in October the parks turned 125 years old.

8 Geography Landforms- mountains, valleys, coast lines, and rivers. Valleys- Death valley(282ft below sea level), Central valley, and Scrento valley. Mountains- Sierra Madre Mountains, Tehchapi Mountains, and Mount Whitney(14,494ft above sea level). Volcano-in the Cascade Mountains a still active volcano, Lassen Peak. Deserts- Southwest and the Mojave desert.

11 Famous People Ansel Adams-(1902-1984) born in San Francisco. Is noted for being a Photographer and conservationist. Also for dramatic Pictures of the western landscapes. Gertrucle Franklen Akherton- (1857-1948) born in San Francisco. He is a novelist that wrote “Before the Gringo Came(1894), The Californians(1898), and Black Oxen(1923).”

12 Famous people Cont. Mary Hunter Austin- (1868-1934) novelist and play writer. Wrote “the Land Of The Rain and The Arrow-Maker.” Shirley Temple- Born in Santo Monica. She is a actress and public official; stared in more than 25 musical films. Juby Garland- (1922-1969) Born in Frances Gumm; actress and singer; appeared in her first film at 14. Best known for her role of Dorothy in” the wizard of Oz.”
