2 Follow the Directions Below: STEP 1: Think about how medical technology has affected our life on earth. In your journal, Make a table to look like the one below: (Then follow the directions in the next slide). Medical Need (Illness)Technology Created/Invented Medical Result (Benefit)

3 STEP2: Complete at least four rows in the chart: For the Medical Need column, think of an illness that has affected many people throughout the ages. Write the medical illness in the column. For the Technology Created column, think of the technologies that have been created/invented because of the medical illness. Write the Technology in the column. For the Medical Result column, think of the outcome the technology had on the people’s illnesses. Write the benefit in the column.

5 STEP 3: Answer one of these questions in your journal. 1.Explain how Dr. Judah Folkman was persistent in finding out why tumors grew. 2. Create an outline of the scientific process explained in the video. 3. Write a summary report to your fellow classmates that depict the events in the video. 4. Make a cartoon strip showing the sequence of events. 5. Recall a moment in time when your persistence paid off. Write a comparison of your story to Dr. Judah Fulkman’s story.
