2 ESDC - Objectives Council Decision 2013/189/CFSP to further enhance the common European security and defence culture within CSDP; to promote a better understanding of CSDP as an essential part of CFSP; to provide Union instances with knowledgeable personnel able to work efficiently on all CSDP matters; to provide Member States’ administrations and staff with knowledgeable personnel familiar with Union policies, institutions and procedures in the field of CFSP; to support Union partnerships in the field of CSDP, in particular partnerships with those countries participating in CSDP missions; to help promote professional relations and contacts among participants in ESDC training activities (‘participants’). support to the management of training in the field of conflict prevention and civilian crisis management

8 Co-operation in the context of the IDL System Voluntary expert (from ESDC network or external partners) develops content and provides it to the Secretariat Identification of new requirement/subject Discussion/consultation with potential content provider “quality check” by experts from EU institutions and with other experts Server and LMS provider (NDU Bucharest) transforms content into SCORM format / making it a stand-alone e-learning unit Secretariat / course director configures IDL course according to the needs of the specific residential course Evaluation in the light of course participants’ feedback, lessons learnt, new policies/concepts etc. Content update learning unit (AKU) now available within the ESDC IDL System working cycle New Learning Units under development Maritime Piracy (EUNAVFOR) EU-Transatlantic Relations EU-ASIA Relations NATO’s Strategic Concept Anti Corruption Introduction to SSR Cyber Security/Defence
