“Giving of responsibility to someone else: Responsibility” “accountability (explaining); blame; authority to make decisions independently.” Think of a current situation where you are delegating work, or an area where you are considering delegating work…

6 The Challenges What is your current challenge in delegation?
What makes delegation difficult? The challenges that we face in delegation are not due to a lack of management tools, but usually it’s because we struggle with the leadership aspects of it.

Perspectives Leadership 101 It’s not about YOU... it’s about YOUR PEOPLE You’ve got to meet the needs of your people. When work is delegated to you, what needs must be met by the delegator?

2. Trust others to do the job 3. Ask people for their help 4. Let go of the “how,” and follow up on the “what” and “when” 5. Celebrate the accomplishments of your team

Which were successful, and which were not? What lessons did you learn from them? 5) What are your top five tips for executing this step? These must be specific actions that someone could take right now. 6) What could you do to make this step more of a habit than a forced process?
